Christian Naven

Christian is the Director of Dance for the Edge Dance Team and for the dance program at United Starz Academy.  Christian graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in dance and theater.  Her studies included ballet, modern, jazz, tap, dance composition, dance pedagogy, dance history and literature, music for dancers, costuming and make-up, and stage lighting.  Christian has coached the Philadelphia 76's Dance team and ISU's dance team.  Many of her former students have gone on to become professional dancers in the industry.  She is currently coaching and restructuring Bradley University's dance team.  As a former competitive dancer, high school cheerleader, and all American, Christian brings over 25 years experience to the programs at United Starz Academy. 

Alyssa Ruwe

Alyssa is one of the staff choreographers and dance teachers for the Edge Dance Team and the dance program at United Starz Academy.  Alyssa has been dancing for more than 16 years, and teaching for the past 5 years.  She currently attends SIUE, is on the dance team at SIUE, and a dance instructor at Jam Dance Academy in Edwardsville.  Alyssa competed in dance where she won awards that sent her to Walt Disney World, achieved the Distinguished Performer Award from Starlight Dance, and advanced her and her team mates to several national competitions.  Alyssa is a current staff member for Universal Dance Association (UDA) and continues to dance in various productions while attending college.
