Tumbling Class Descriptions

Tiny Tumble (ages 18 months – 3 years):  Adult/parent participation is required for this class. This is a GREAT introduction class to tumbling  and interaction with other children. Children will learn the basic tumbling skills and share quality time with mom and dad.

Hot Shot Tumble (ages 3 – 5 years):  This is a pre school tumbling class.  This class will focus on learning basic rolls (forward and backward), cartwheels, bridges, and more while moving throughout different stations.

Tumble 1:  No experience is necessary.  This is a beginner class that will teach the basic fundamentals of tumbling. These include forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, hand stands, backbends, round-offs, and more.

Tumble 2/3:  Students must be able to do a backbend to be enrolled in this class.  This class is geared for students who have mastered the basic tumbling skills and are ready to move on. This class will introduce front limbers, bridges into kick-overs, backbend kick-overs, walk-overs, and more.  This class will focus on improving tumbling skills while simultaneously advancing onto back handsprings and more. (Combined with tumble 2)

Tumble 4/5:  Students must be able to perform a standing back handspring and a round-off back handspring to be enrolled in this class.  This class will introduce combination tumbling (standing series and running series). Students will be introduced to front tucks and back tucks. This class will focus on more advanced skills such as layouts, step outs, full twists, and double full twists. (Combined with tumble 4)

Standing Back Handspring/Back Tuck:   Students MUST be able to perform a back bend kick-over to be enrolled in this class.  This is a sixty minute class that strictly works on the back handspring and or the back tuck skills. This class works only on standing skills.  Once a student masters the standing skill they will be moved into a level 3, 4, or 5 class to work on the running skills.  Student’s skills will be assessed in order to qualify for this class.

Acrobatic-Dance:  This class will incorporate a unique combination of tumbling and dance skills. Acrobatic-dance involves limbering skills, lifts, leaps, turns, tumbling, and dance movements all geared towards this art form. Classes range from beginner to advanced levels.
